Loud slow exhale, words are at a lost as to how I feel about this book. I was reserved considering the whole Nomadic theme with slaves, and pleasure servants but I was not disappointed. Yes our Scion Zafirah partakes of the flesh of the women in her Harem, even though she is falling in love with Dae, but even more exciting is Dae finally coming into her womanhood. I love that Amber allows for some exploration for Dae with the other women of the Harem. She truly captivated, and the only time I was disappointed was when I turned the page and the only thing left was the Epilogue....truly a great book, I am looking forward to others. Nights of Silk and Sapphire Amber Jacobs Books Reviews
What a great book. I read this online a long time ago and loved it. I'm so glad it came out on more refined. A great Xena Uber story!
I couldn’t put the book down. The characters were intriguing and easy to relate to. I look forward to reading more from the author.
Nicely written, well edited book. I enjoyed the relationship dynamics and was a little surprised by the openness and experimentation.
This a great book. I read it a couple of years ago and just came across it in my library. I am just about to enjoy a re-read
A most enjoyable read. Full of the kind of kinky seduction we all look for in a pesudo-historical tale of abduction, rescue and seduction with a wonderfully strong cast of characters. I feel this author had just the right of amount of parallel story going to drive this tale forward and in my opinion was just the right length.
Well-written erotica that actually still reads as a story instead of a list of sex scenes. Though I intellectually find the situation of someone getting involved with the person who is holding them captive to be deeply problematic (and frankly something I would have even more of an issue with if that person was a man which is a bit hypocritical), there is still a part of me that finds it on some level as well, hot. Not in real life. And only in specific fictional narratives, but here, yes-still hot. Captive Dae is essentially put into a harem that at first she is shocked by, then intrigued by, then excited by all of the extracurricular activities that happen there on a regular basis (in both group as well as duo/solo situations). I thought the ratio of sex scenes to narrative and the timing of them was really spot on (from an emotional viewpoint as well). I'm not sure what else there is to say about the plot.
It does have some side storyline about an enemy trying to takeover the region due to his acquisition of guns from Western traders, but this was actually a bit drawn out more than it needed to be. I'm not a fan of breaking a consistent third person perspective just to switch to the "bad guy's" perspective every fourth chapter or something. It's not needed-it's possible to find other ways to create that tension and give that information that something is brewing without breaking perspective.
I think it actually could have gone a bit further in terms of content actually. A bit more edge would have given it more bite to breakthrough all of the "we're in a harem but really are all bestfriends/lovers" vibe that it had sometimes. Some jealousy or more hardcore kinks could have really lifted up parts of the book. Still, all-in-all, quite enjoyable. Would recommend.
I actually wouldn't call this hot and steamy erotica. Yeah, so it's about a young women's sexual awakening, but it's nothing to hide or cover your eyes over. It's pretty descriptive and interesting. It seemed the unrest is brought up early on, then referred to intermittently, but really does not get in the way of the harem's activities or really the kingdoms. In all honesty, it's almost as if there was really no conflict outside what was happening within the palace.
